Siloé un niño was a National Scholarship in Visual Arts from the Ministry of Culture in 2004 and my first real design exercise. Carried out by the OJOROJO collective from the city of Cali, made up of professionals and students of Art and Communication, they teach 34 children from Siloé the art of photography in various image workshops. Each of the children receives a camera and, giving free rein to their imagination, they launch themselves into the adventure of portraying their surroundings. This book collects that experience narrated through the eyes of the children. Si-lo-vé?
For this project it was necessary to address different aspects that should constitute the whole of the proposal. On the one hand, the concept of the publication and on the other, the identity, which would be initially addressed by the design of the logo for the SILOVE project, as well as the design of the logo for the OJOROJO collective.
Later, the design of the front and back covers is planned and the design of the internal pages is addressed, preserving the essence and purity of the photography, giving it prominence. Following this, different pieces are established that complement the communication system, which include posters, invitation cards and postcards.
